Steamboat Bill’s on the Lake was a place I have wanted to try after seeing multiple billboards claiming it was voted #1 for multiple seafood categories. I ordered the small seafood platter that came with a fish fillet, a stuffed shrimp, a stuffed crab, some popcorn shrimp, coleslaw, French fries, and a jambalaya roll. Cocktail sauce and tartar sauce were also served with the meal. The fish filled was cooked very well and was well seasoned. The stuffed shrimp and crab were slightly over-fried, but not too badly. The French fries were perfect and the coleslaw was serviceable. The popcorn shrimp were wonderfully fried with just the right amount of batter. I ordered a cup of water, but all they had was bottled water. It costs $1 for a bottled water, btw. The service was quick and efficient. The tables seemed clean and the floors were swept. I was impressed with the staff and how quickly they handled messes. I thoroughly enjoyed my meal here and would definitely return.
