Lebanese Taverna

Consistently excellent, year after year.  It’s our go to family dinner spot in Arlington, and we always start with the chef’s platter, a mezze of their appetizers.  We often order a second round.  Highly recommended.

Stumbled upon this place because it’s one of the few places with open patios right now. My family and I were very pleasantly surprised. The restaurant is located in a very charming neighborhood in Arlington with ample street parking near by. We ordered camel wings, falafel, lebneh, chicken samosas and chicken shawarma salad. Everything was absolutely delicious! The wings were some of the best lemon flavor I’ve ever had, the sauce they come with are to die for. I’ve never had lebneh before tonight but it was amazing with the fresh bread they brought out. I ordered entrees to go and I honestly can’t wait to get home and try them. I will be back to this little gem very soon.

Whenever my parents come to visit they always have us take them here. The food is excellent, to be honest there isn’t a dish I would steer you away from. A dinner comprised solely of mezza would probably be just as satisfying as ordering an entree. The bread they serve is delicious (watch out, though, it comes out hot enough to burn your fingers).

They have a decent selection of arak, which is nice; it pairs well with a mezza dinner. You get a decent pour, too, so if you plan on having more than one maybe take an uber home.

The service is good, but what really puts it over-the-top for me is the old world charm this place has. It’s cozy and warm, well appointed, and everyone eating there seems to be genuinely enjoying the experience.

One last note, the Westover neighborhood in Arlington is one of my favorites, if the weather’s nice make a point to walk around afterwards.
