The day that we arrived in Savannah we were tired and we just wanted a quick bar experience that led to just a good night’s rest before really taking on the city the next day. Bernie’s oyster house was recommended by our cabbie and I am so pleased to say that their oysters made me a believer in oysters. As a northerner listening to all the southern ladies speak, I could have stayed in there for hours. Thank you for welcoming us and thank you for The delightful experience of your oysters

Food was so awesome. The place itself kind has the vibe of a dive bar but I was there for it, it’s kind of cozy. My girlfriend and I went there for Valentine’s Day and surprisingly there was only one waiter and one bartender working but they got the job done some how. The server was super super nice and found the time to make sure everything was good with us.

Great service and food! Their Bloody Mary is so good! Our server, Alec, was definitely one of the best servers we’ve had anywhere.

Husband had the shrimp basket – was a plentiful amount of food & was very good. I had the seafood chowder – good & hot, but was most definitely from a can. For the ambiance, over a dozen shrimp in the basket & great service from Donny Bernie’s gets 5 stars from us !!
