We were so impressed with Salt City Market that we came back as we were passing through Syracuse again. There are so many wonderful options it’s hard to choose what to order.

We wanted to circle back to try Baghdad. The week before we were drooling over the chicken, beef and lamb shawarmas that were cooking.

We arrived late on a Saturday afternoon in time for an early dinner and were sad to hear that all the varieties were already sold out. Definitely a bit disappointing but understandable since they looked and smelled amazing. We ordered the beef kebabs which came with a plate of rice and some pickled veggies and a yogurt sauce. The food was cooked quickly and was very fresh. The meat was tender and utilized a wonderful assortment of spices. The veggies and yogurt sauce were nice complements and played off the seasoning. This was a very generous potion and fed 2 hungry people. The prices were very reasonable. I would absolutely recommend you stop by.
