One of the mainstay of Rochester, this family friendly restaurant offers a simple menu for breakfast. We came early on Father’s Day and was seated in a reasonable amount of time. Open floor plan with tables and chairs, bar, additional seating on the other side and outdoor seating lining two sides of the building. The Honker Omelette was nicely divided, as we shared and always a plus when they do it, with buttered wheat toast and American fries. The omelette was hot, with a fluffy texture, and filled with honey ham cubes, mushrooms, mozzarella and cheddar, making it very cheesy and delicious. American fries were fried with sweet, tender strips of onion and lightly seasoned. Aleasha was our server and made our experience enjoyable.

The Honker always kills it! It’s our go-to place when in Rochester. We used to live here and always enjoyed our visits. Most recently, they outdid themselves with my liver, bacon and onions. Oh, my! It was perfect. My wife enjoyed her salmon. Albeit, we resisted the Bunny’s coconut cake this time. See you next time, Honker!

The food here was absolutely amazing!! We had walleye sandwiches, walleye dinner, a burger, and kids Mac and cheese. Everything was fresh and well seasoned. The coconut cake was unexpected but very good. Honestly the best restaurant service I have had since covid started. The waitress was upbeat and attentive. Definitely recommend!!!!
