Hellllo Peking Duck

Cali girl flies over VA for Duck Chang’s Peking Duck. Okay I don’t fly there just for them but whenever I am in town I HAVE TO STOP BY HERE! I go to VA about once a year and my sister lives about an hour away from this place but I still make her take me when I am staying with her. Last time I was there I went there twice!

The duck its cooked perfectly! Not dry, doesn’t smell anything like duck but still had the that yummy duck taste, and of course my favorite part about the the duck was the crispy skin. They seriously cooked it really well. They cutted the meat of the bone right in front so you can see it. fresh deep fried duck yuuummy. The duck a good but everything that comes with the peking duck is what make it soooooooo delicious. the actual wrap that they give you nice a warm, perfectly thin and nice and round so it is easy to wrap the duck in. They have this dipping sauce, I think it just housin and some other stuff that they mix with it, but still really good. It actually balance the whole wrap and duck altogether. The also thinly cut fresh scallion/green onion ends which gives it a kick. My 5 years old nephew is a picky eater…by picky he just doesn’t like to eat or he doesn’t eat a lot of anything. When he comes here he eat until it full and he still would want the last piece of the duck! And that is saying a lot.

This place apparently been around for a while, and the son the the original owner has taken over. They are sweetheart. My brother and sister always have conversations with them and they always bag the duck bones for us so we can let the dog have a piece too. Wonderful staff.

I know there are other places around the area that i have never tried but I heard this is the original and its the cheapest. So why waste my time else where right?

I do have some complaints. I am very particular about what bathrooms I use and definitely sucks knowing that I have hour car ride back to the house. Its a small old restaurant and they do keep the place really nice but it wouldn’t be a bad idea to give the bathroom a make over. Also I did order something here that was not the peking duck and absolutely would not recommend anything else but the peking duck.

But since the peking duck here is soooooo good 5 stars. Yelp says this delivers, any chance the delivery can make it ways to Cali?
