Had a great time at the fl state fair, all the shows were amazing. We spent the whole day there and could go another day, we had that much fun and there’s so much to see and do. From the racing pigs, to the circus performance, the illusion show, the sea lion show, we weren’t disappointed. We ate some amazing food and there are so many options, something for everyone. My boyfriend opted for gator and shark kabobs and I went for a spicy steak and mushroom wrap from one of the food truck vendors. We were lucky enough to go on a demolition derby day and saw that show, it was great. My recommendation, go if you can before they close the fair.
There was ample parking. They price is reasonable. The rides were expensive, but that’s what they are now. I’ve never seen so many food vendors at a fair. We didn’t make it through them all. They had exhibits and craft vendors. There’s something for everyone. We had a great time.
The Florida State Fair was different this year but we still had a great time. The downfall is the prices of food and waters. There were some areas of the event where the food made sense but not $3.00 for a bottle water. Instead, we found a $1.00 sweat tea stand and it was incredible but cannot recall the name of it.
Inside the Fair Grounds was packed with vendors and a lot of interesting products. The lines for rides were so ideal – basically hardly any wait at all. Everyone was down to earth at the event from vendors, staff, and the Hillsboro Sheriffs Department. When parking you could walk to the building if you wanted (not a far walk) or you could jump in the trolley. Wear comfortable shoes and clothing :-).
We really enjoyed ourselves and look forward to the next event at the Tampa Fair Grounds.
