Angel was the absolute best! We waited a long time for a reservation (it is Cinco de mayo) and he kept checking on us and making sure we were taken care of. He is the absolute best and we can’t wait to come back to see him again!
My girlfriends & I randomly decided to stop here on Easter for some drinks & shareable food. This place was perfect! The drinks were made really well. We got birria tacos & a variety of pupusas. Food & service was great. The music definitely set a vibe. We’ll be back 🙂
I went here this weekend as it was a participating restaurant in the Cider and Donut festival. Our server was super accommodating for our group and took extra care with group member’s allergies. Drinks and food were delicious and cheap!
Our waiter today at Mexicali Blues on Wilson Boulevard was Isaac and he is super helpful, friendly and professional. Started off with a couple beers Modelo Especial and Dos Equis, yum.
I devored my steak frajitas, which were wonderfully tender and tasty! Isaac suggested substituting guacamole for the rice and beans, great idea! The guacamole is freshly made in house and delightful. My wife had the Enchiladas, which she described as okay but probably not something she would get next time.
Dining room not much to report on, but it does provide a nice view of the goings-on on the Boulevard. Enjoy Mexicali Blues!
