Absolutely my favorite Old Town restaurant. And there are so many good ones. But Cosmopolitan is doing something special. German and Austrian food well prepared. Excellent schnitzels. Great pork knuckle special you won’t find anywhere else. Sublime cremeschnitte. We followed them from the strip mall on Route 1 by Gold’s Gym. This place is special.

This is one of our go-to restaurants- we used eat in regularly but we mostly do takeout. The steak sandwich is amazing (sometimes they bend the rules and let me order it for dinner). The mixed grill is enough for two. The chicken schnitzel is crisp and delicious. The salad has the best vinaigrette. Try the cevipici- it’s amazing.
Most of the time when I order take out, my food is hot and ready. Except last night but the reason I’m writing is because they were a testament to customer service. I called ahead and was told 20 minutes so I arrived 20 minutes later. The kitchen was clearly just slammed with orders so I ended up waiting an extra 20 minutes for my food. A minor annoyance (and honestly, I looked like a jerk because I kept looking at my watch because I left my phone in the car and didn’t know what to do with my hands! ) No less than four people checked in on me and my order multiple times, apologized for the wait, and even gave me baklava for dessert (I tried to tell them it wasn’t necessary, but it was delicious!) Again, I order from them often and this was definitely an outlier experience, but they handled so well. Looking forward to going back!
