Having never been to New London before, I was captivated by every nuance of this place, both inside and out. On street parking made things a little tricky, but we lucked out. We got there around 6:45 on a Wednesday night without reservations and were seated within 15 minutes. We had a cozy window seat near the bar, facing Pequot Ave. Our server was both professional and friendly. All three in my party ordered iced tea and the lobster roll with fries. The garlic butter that was served with a crispy warm bread was some of the best stuff I’ve ever put on a piece of bread. The iced tea was just the right strength, and didn’t taste like it had been in a stainless steel pot all day. I’ve never had lobster roll before, but this was pretty good, as were the fries. This place feels more like a local eatery than a tourist trap.
