I ordered the Tea Leaf Salad and Mango Pickled Lamb Curry. The salad was very fresh and tasty, quite a pleasant blend of fresh herbs with a touch of peanuts. The mango curry was also delicious. The lamb cuts were soft, well cooked and well seasoned. Curry was balanced and flavourful with a touch of heat. The flavours aren’t bold and will not overtake your palate. Would definitely recommend!
Wonderful customer service here… haven’t been in a restaurant in a long time where they fill my water cup instantly when it was empty. I LOVED the rangoon curry with rice, would definitely come back for it. The rice smells amazing and was so flavourful. Unfortunately, the satay meat dish was too salty and the paprika (?) was a strange flavour for me as a sprinkled topping. I didn’t like how it was also tossed with the cabbage on both the satay meat and calamari dish, the flavours didn’t work for me. The calamari was a little bland, and came with sweet and sour sauce. Maybe these are just new restaurant kinks that will be ironed out. Looking forward to returning and trying other dishes.
Beautiful restaurant in the Bayview area for Burmese cuisine. Service is good and the food is unique. Never tried Burmese food before but it was delicious. They were also well presented. Certainly will come back!
Tasty and beautifully presented Burmese food. Some especially notable dishes were the tea leaf salad and satay platter. The skewers on the satay platter were cooked to perfection, and the peanut sauce was a nice compliment to it. The tea leaf salad is unlike any other salad I’ve had. It is dressed with a bunch of spices. I was not too impressed by the mohinga, the broth/soup didn’t have a particular flavour that stood out.
