I held my graduation party of 40 guests at Sandovan”s.  Food was great, had fried chicken , curry chicken, rice and peas, mac and cheese.  My guests enjoyed the food.  The D.J. was excellent and was very nice about taking requests.  Music was wonderful.  I had a ball and danced all night long.

Sandovan Restaurant & Lounge is a little slice of Jamaica located right in the heart of Northwest D.C.
Our menu features a variety of classics, from jerk chicken to oxtail — and of course, Ackee and
Saltfish and Red Snapper. Grab a drink, like some Jamaican Rum Punch or our homemade ginger.

Came here on a Saturday for lunch. Street parking is available.  Setup is restaurant, bar, dance floor.  Festive and afro-beats music played in the backgound. For appetizer we had jerk wings.
For entrees, we ordered jerk shrimp with spinach & plantain, Â curry shrimp with rice & peas and plantain, and oxtail with rice & peas and mac & cheese. Â The food was excellent. Â This is authentic caribbean experience.
