Slip Inn Bar & Grill

This is just an ok place. The last time I ate there I had the fried catfish which seemed like it was not cooked on the inside. It also taste really fishy. It was crispy on the outside though. None the less. I don’t think the menu is that extensive for options to eat. My coworkers love to eat here. It’s a cool place to hangout because of the outside patio on the water. They have have events there every so often with live music so that’s a plus. I’m not sure that you would go to those evening events unless you live on base. It’s a really nice location, situated on a marina with a great river view. It has a limited menu, but the wings are great. The service is usually excellent, but may occasionally get backed up due to a rush of customers. The often host special events that are geared towards the whole family.

Great place to sit and unwind while waiting for the traffic to ease up. But this little place is exclusive (you have to be able to get onto a military installation as it is tucked nicely away at the edge of Bolling AFB, right at the southern end of the riverwalk path. If you go – order the wings; they are the bomb!! Inside and outside seating has been newly renovated.
