Sol Caribe

I stayed 2 nights at sol caribe and from the first moment I had a bad experience. Transportation from the airport was included in the price. I asked if they could pick me up at a bus stop instead and they told me there was no problem. When I arrived they told me that transportation is free only if you stay at least 7 nights. None of this was clarified in the publication and they also charged me about 35 dollars (an uber for the same distance costs less than half of that). The woman who helped me at the reception was super rude, arrogant and impolite with any question I had. In the hotel room I had a lot of problems. The broken bathroom ceiling, the taps with holes and poorly finished, the bathroom handles full of very dirty sticky saltpeter, the ones covered with a grime that wouldn’t come out even if you tried everything, THERE WAS A BLOOD STAIN on the back of one of the the beds, the ceiling had humidity, the beds without a blanket, and a refrigerator that made a loud noise all night. Worst of all was how carelessly they treated me when I said this was all a problem, they have no refunds or compensation. They didn’t want to change my room either and at all times the treatment was super aggressive. DO NOT GO TO THIS HOTEL. once you paid they treat you badly and nothing you need matters to them. They overcharge you for things that they never clarify and it is a supposedly 4-star hotel. I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS HOTEL. Go to a hotel where you are treated with respect and things have the quality that a 4-star hotel promises.

The lady at the reception when I arrived was super rude, aggressive and bad mannered at all times with every question that I had. In the room I had a lot of issues. The bathroom ceiling was broken, the faucets attachment to the wall were not finished and they had holes, the tap handles were covered in saltpeter, full of grime and grease. Cutlery was also full of a rust-like grime that was impossible to scrap off. THERE WAS A STAIN OF BLOOD on one of the beds backrest, the ceiling was full of damp stains and the beds had no cover. There was a fridge that was less than a meter away from the bed and would make an annoying loud noise all night. The worst part was how aggressive and contemptuous the treatment was when I brought all of these things up. They don’t give you any type of refund or compensation for this. They refused to change me to another room and at all times the way they treated me was aggressive and dismissive. DO NOT COME TO THIS HOTEL. Once you paid they will mistreat you and try to charge you for things that are not clarified and this is a 4 star hotel supposedly. DO NOT RECOMMEND AT ALL, find somewhere where they treat you with respect and things actually work the way they’re supposed to and have the quality a 4 star hotel promises
