The Griswold Inn

Near the banks of the Connecticut River, this inn dating from 1776 is a 2-minute walk from the Connecticut River Museum and 15 miles from Gillette Castle State Park.
The individually decorated, antiques-filled rooms feature colonial accents, private bathrooms and free Wi-Fi. Suites add pull-out sofas, and some rooms have river views. A 2-story cottage is also available.

Continental breakfast is included, and there’s a classic American restaurant and a wine bar. A publike tap room, housed in a restored 1735 schoolhouse with dark wood paneling and period decor, offers live entertainment.
